Bootstrap no visual studio

Boa noite! estou tentando criar um projeto web ASP.NET. Adicionei o bootstrap no projeto. Peguei um modelo bootswatch journal. Ao executar o projeto a página da web abre no modelo que escolhi, porém aparece desconfigurado...os menus estão muito colados e até sobrepondo uns aos outros e o botão também. minha página de layout:
