Unit em Componente

Fala galera, tem como eu colocar uma unit q contem um código (no meu caso é uma unit q checa o serial do HD) dentro de um componente nas minhas palhetas do delphi?

CRIA UM NOVO COMPONENTE A PARTIR DAQUELE QUE VC QUER MODIFICAR, E ADICIONA NA UNIT ESSE CODIGO... EU FIZ ISSO E DEU CERTO...

MENU Component, New Component...... etc

michelli, vc pode dar mais detalhes?

Pois essa unit nao é herdada de nenhum componente.... Ela exibe somente o serial do HD...

Quando se cria o componente, você escolhe algum tipo ja existente, daí ele herda propriedades do pai.
Depois de fazer isso você pode acrescentar algumas propriedades e eventos:

Para criar um componente vá em:

Component, New Component;
Escolha o tipo de componente pai, TButton, por exemplo.
Class Name: Defina o nome do seu component,
Palette Page: A Paleta onde ele vai ficar,
Unit name: Onde vai salvar a Unit e o Search Path nao precisa mexer;
Tudo isso vc tem q adicionar num package, vc pode criar um novo, ou usar um ja existente.
