Fórum Erro no web.xml após adicionar um filtro #506483

após eu criar um filtro, o tomcat não consegue mais incializar. se eu remover a tag 
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>AuthFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>/*.faces</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>

ai o tomcat consegue carregar, mas o filtro não funciona.

meu filtro está assim;
