Borland anúncia InterBase 7.1

Novidades do InterBase 7.1:

a. Support for Windows Server 2003 gives developers the confidence that the
applications they build are ready for the future.
b. Borland Data Provider, a new .ADO.NET provider makes InterBase ´.NET
ready´ and allows InterBase to be used with Borland´s new C# Builder as
well as Microsoft Visual Studio
c. InterClient 4, an improved JDBC driver that is JDBC2 compliant and that
passes 100¬ of the relevant JDBC CTS tests, ensures a fast link between
InterBase and Java IDEs like JBuilder and applications.
d. InterClient 4 allows J2EE CMP 2.x and datasource 2.0 connections for
better integration and deployment with Applications servers like Borland
Application Server.
e. Hyper-threading support allows those with Intel Pentium 4 and Xeon
processors to take advantage of the ´virtual processors´.
f. Support for additional international character sets including ISO8859_2
(Latin2), ISO8859_15 (Latin9) and KOI8-R
g. A cross-platform GUI installer using InstallAnywhere helps ensure easy
installation, registration and licensing.
h. SMP enhancements improve scalability and performance
i. Support for the SQL99 SAVEPOINT helps developers of complex applications
j. Integrated graphical Performance Monitor in IBConsole make it easy to take
advantages of connection monitoring features introduced in IB7
k. Improved garbage collection improves response and throughput
l. Improved performance during backup-and-restore help provide better
productivity in non-stop production environments.
