Fórum Função no firebird equivalente ao mid #55247

Boa tarde, estou com o seguinte problema estou criando umas consultas no firebird e estou prescisnado utilizar o comando mid para pegar somente até uma parte do campo porém ele dá um erro dizendo que não reconhece essa função ela existe no firebird senão existir a um outro comando que eu possa dar para pegar o valor de parte do campo.
meu código:
select nome from tabela
where mid(status,1,3)=´ATI´
no Sql server funciona.
